In the name of God, the All Gracious, the All Merciful

 

 

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

                                         اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ

The Hour has come closer and the moon was conquered.

 

4846 2155 687 590 1250 2

 

           وَإِنْ يَرَوْا آيَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُسْتَمِرٌّ

And they saw a proof and said; this is continuous magic.

              وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُسْتَقِرٌّ

And they rejected it and followed their desires. However, every matter has a place in time.

                       وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مِنَ الأنْبَاءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ

And indeed the news of what is to transpire has already come to them.

                             حِكْمَةٌ بَالِغَةٌ فَمَا تُغْنِ النُّذُرُ

Plenty of wisdom, but the deliverers of warning had no effect.

             فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ يَوْمَ يَدْعُو الدَّاعِ إِلَى شَيْءٍ نُكُرٍ

You shall therefore, turn away from them, for the day will come when the caller will announce a terrible announcement.

 خُشَّعًا أَبْصَارُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الأجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُنْتَشِرٌ

With their eyes subdued, they will come out of their coffins like scattered locusts.

      مُهْطِعِينَ إِلَى الدَّاعِ يَقُولُ الْكَفِرُونَ هَذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ

They will rush towards the caller and the disbelievers will say; this is a difficult day.

   كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ

Before them the People of Noah remained in denial, they rejected Our servant and they said; he is crazy, and he was tormented.

                         فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانْتَصِرْ

He then called upon his Lord; I am indeed defeated, therefore, help me.

                      فَفَتَحْنَا أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ

We therefore opened the gates of the sky with pouring water.

 

4856 2165 697 600 12

   وَفَجَّرْنَا الأرْضَ عُيُونًا فَالْتَقَى الْمَاءُ عَلَى أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ

And We caused springs to gush out of the ground and the flood started according to the preordained command.

                       وَحَمَلْنَاهُ عَلَى ذَاتِ أَلْوَاحٍ وَدُسُرٍ

And We carried him on a floater made of logs and ropes.

                     تَجْرِي بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَاءً لِمَنْ كَانَ كُفِرَ

She floated under our eyes; as a just answer to those who disbelieved.

                       وَلَقَدْ تَرَكْنَاهَا آيَةً فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ

And We have set it up as a sign; is there anyone who wishes to learn?

 

4860 2169 701 604 16

                              فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

Consequently, how terrible was My punishment after My warnings.

              وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ

And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand, does anybody wish to learn?

                  كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

Aad also remained in denial, then how terrible was My punishment after the warnings.

   إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُسْتَمِرٍّ

Indeed, We sent upon them a violent wind, on a day with continuous misery.

                 تَنْزِعُ النَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُنْقَعِرٍ

It tossed people around as though they were rotten palm-tree trunks.

 

4865 2174 706 609 21

                              فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

Consequently, how terrible was My punishment after My warnings.

 

4866 2175 707 610 22

              وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ

And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand, does anybody wish to learn?

                                    كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِالنُّذُرِ

The Thamoud also rejected the deliverers of warning.

  فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرًا مِنَّا وَاحِدًا نَتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذًا لَفِي ضَللٍ وَسُعُرٍ

Then they said; are we to follow a single man from amongst us? Indeed, we will then go astray and end up in the raging inferno.

         أَؤُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ

Is he the one who has received the message from among all of us? No way, he is the most evil liar.

                      سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًا مَنِ الْكَذَّابُ الأشِرُ

They will soon find out who the most evil liar is.

            إِنَّا مُرْسِلُو النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْ

We will indeed send the camel as a test for them. Therefore, watch them and wait.
